The best gray house color schemes are really all about the surrounding colors and materials. We drove all over the place looking st new roofs. Black dark gray or brown shingles work with a red clapboard country home and can top red brick attractively. Here we see a fantastic example.

Red bricks and white bricks tend to look much better with grey shingles than some other shades of brick. The problem is every solid roof i saw a variegated style that i loved. I hated to use black too stark and heat absorbing and i was thinking charcoal grey which would have been a safe choice. Red brick is sharp with a black or a vivid or dark blue roof and white trim gray brown or black roofs look good with green siding.

I just replaced my roof on my red brick ranch house. Such a roof can be reasonably expected to be some 50 to 60 degrees cooler than a dark color asphalt shingles roof. Red brick is the masonry of choice for the front porch along with white columns and a bronze metal porch roof. Black a contrasting shade of gray white green or blue can all pair nicely with a gray brick or painted house.

Gray black darker shades of brown and some softer shades of green think celadon or grayish green can all look lovely with a red brick or similar home. Light olive house paint is attractive with those darker shingle colors. Follow some general color guidelines when coordinating roof and house colors.
